Prison ministry is still active and vibrant, and has been throughout the down times and up times. I still appreciate the paperback book donations, particularly Stephen King, Lee Child and other highly popular authors. 
|
Africa University opened in March 1992 in Mutare, Zimbabwe as the first private, Pan-African international university. The pioneer group of 40 students came from a dozen Africa countries to pursue bachelor's degrees in theology, natural resources, and agriculture.

The Backpack Ministry helps reduce childhood hunger in our local area and shares Jesus' love of children. This ministry provides food on the weekends, holiday meals, school supplies, hats and gloves and a birthday treat to children in our local schools.

Since 2009 teams have been going to remote areas of Guatemala to install stoves and water purifiers in homes. The teams also provide a concrete pad (about 100sf) and whitewashed the walls in the kitchen and provided dewormer for families receiving water purifiers.

Child Action is a Non-Government Organization founded in 2006 by Isaiah Njimbu after graduation
from Africa University with a sociology degree, when he returned home to Lubumbashi, Democratic
Republic of the Congo (DRC).

The people of Oak Ridge United Methodist Church have been providing and serving the Potter's House evening meal on the first Friday of each month since 1989. 
|
The mission of the Good Samaritan's Food Pantry is to hold non-perishable food supplies for distribution to Northwest Guilford families during times of crisis and temporary needs.

Hannah's Haven, A Teen Challenge Center, helps women develop in spirit, mind, and body so they can become all they were created to be in Christ. 
Kairos Inside is a statewide, inter-faith, 72 hour prison ministry that has served at Central Prison (for men), and at NCCIW (for women) in Raleigh since 1994.

We have served the evening meal at Potter's House the first Friday of each month at 7 pm, continuously since 1989. We provide a complete hot meal to the residents of Weaver House.
