Africa University is a United Methodist Church-related project and is being nurtured and funded by church members from all over the world. It is a consequence of the growth of United Methodism on the African continent and has its foundations in the history and legacy of the church. The University welcomes persons regardless of their race, ethnicity, religion, politics, gender, nationality or social background.
We support one student each year by providing a full scholarship covering tuition, room and board. Current cost this year is $5400.
We currently sponsor Prudence Vimbae Mandekutse, a 23-year old second-year student from Zimbabwe. She is a student in the Faculty of Education 4-year program, majoring in Geography with a minor in Music. She has a great passion for music and is a member of the famous Africa University Choir.
