Tabitha Ministries provides a loving, Christian-based home environment for women coming from abusive situations, addictions and prison, by building their confidence and restoring their dignity, while equipping them for success in society.  Residents receive intense counseling concerning past abuse and neglect.  Activities include Bible study and other classes each weeknight, and for those not otherwise employed, running Tabitha's Closet during the day.  Other instruction includes work with Vocational Rehabilitation for job skills and education, communication skills, how to dress and wear make-up appropriately, and most importantly, they are taught how to be women of character so that they will have a strong ethical foundation for making future choices. 

Opportunities to serve the women at Tabitha House can include activities from scrapbooking or other recreation, to showing them how they could start their own business, but the importance of encouragement, and reinforcing their self-worth, provided by women outside the ministry, cannot be overstated.
