Since 1909, The Children's Home has cared for children and youth in need.  Through the years, many changes have occurred in both the way The Home cares for children and the children needing care.  In recent years, The Children's Home has undergone significant changes, including becoming licensed by the State of North Carolina as a Mental Health Residential Treatment Center.  The Home has also been licensed as a Mental Health Day Treatment Program and a Child Placing Agency for Family Foster Care and Therapeutic Foster Care.  Through the changes, The Children's Home has maintained its historical mission of caring for children, while continuing to value its connection with the United Methodist Church.

Change-for-a-Change donations the first Sunday of each month support our program of providing underwear, school supplies and other non-glamorous support to the Methodist-sponsored home in Winston-Salem.
