Western North Carolina Conference Building Teams provide short-term mission experiences for persons who wish to donate their time and services and enable them to have authentic mission experiences beyond their local communities.

• Teams have worked in Latin America since 1963
• Teams also go to Alaska and Armenia, and in years past have gone to Cambodia, Kenya, Lithuania and Zimbabwe
• More than 500 people participate each year
• Construction skills are desired, but not required
• Trips last 10 to 14 days
• Lessons, friendships and memories last a lifetime

Many ORUMC members have participated in building teams the past eight years, on trips to ten different Central and South American countries, and the Caribbean.
