Erin serves the congregation as a Parish Nurse. Erin graduated from UNC-Wilmington with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2011, and then Pfeiffer University in 2016 with a Masters in Healthcare Administration. Erin holds certifications in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN), Faith Community Nursing, and is a Wound Treatment Associate. She counts herself as blessed to work in the nursing field and use her skills to minister to the ORUMC congregation.
Erin has been a lifelong member of Oak Ridge UMC. She has a wonderful husband, Brandon, who works at Oak Ridge Fire Department. They have two children, Jason and Allie. Her parents are John and Beth Browning, and brother, Jordan Browning, who are also members of the church.
Responsibilities: Maintains an active RN license, CPR and ACLS certifications, obtains flu shot annually, Supports community care events and health fairs within ORUMC, Submits reports to Cone Health Congregational Nursing Department, and most importantly, Partners with congregants to provide support (by way of prayer, information, visits).
