Harrison joined ORUMC as Director of Youth Ministries in November 2018. He grew up in Southwest Virginia, serving for many summers in camp and retreat ministry there. Before serving here at ORUMC, Harrison led two youth ministries for a combined 14 years in Athens, TN where he graduated from Tennessee Wesleyan College. Harrison, his wife, Shawna, and five-year-old daughter Isabella enjoy adventures small and large, from coffee dates to kayak outings to city-hopping road trips.
Responsibilities: Oversees Programs for 6th-12th grade youth, Plans and Coordinates Offsite trips for mission, retreat and recreation, Speaks and Teaches during weekly meetings, Counseling/Mentoring students Grade 6-12, Recruiting and Developing program leadership among students and adults, Works with Student and Adult Leadership to plan events and activities, Works with Student and Adult Leadership to revise youth program structure as needed
