I’ve had a blessed life serving God through musical leadership in churches from Raleigh (while attending Meredith College, majoring in Music Education and Piano Performance), Mississippi, Greensboro, Winston Salem and Oak Ridge Methodist churches. I’ve authored/led church dramas, taught preschool music (including Kindermusik and Musicgarten), K-12 Music Ed, youth choirs/bands, praise teams, and adult choirs. Having retired from Christ UMC in 2017, I’m thrilled to be involved again with worship, my passion!
Responsibilities: Leads Chancel Choir weekly in 9am service. Provides music for special services (Ash Wed, Passion Week, Easter, weddings, funerals); serves as wedding music consultant, chooses, organizes and accompanies the weekly service music, files/keeps records of music sung at each service, leads weekly choir rehearsals, rehearses with small groups/soloists, prepares weekly service slides; lines up weekly audio/visual ministry volunteers.
